JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — West Hills police say a Johnstown man is behind bars after he threatened two juveniles with a gun at a local McDonald's, according to a criminal complaint.
Police say 19-year-old Jonathan Bragg faces charges of aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment, according to online court documents.
Authorities say on Oct. 17, two juveniles reported that they had been harassed and threatened by Bragg, who was known to them, at the McDonald's in Lower Yoder Township.
Police say Bragg reportedly approached them inside the restaurant and told them that he had a gun.
The victims then reported that Bragg pulled the gun out of his backpack and showed it to them, the complaint states.
Police say when the juveniles attempted to get away from Bragg by going to the restroom, Bragg reportedly pressed the gun into the back of one of the juveniles.
Investigators say when the juveniles returned to their table, Bragg asked them if they "ever had a gun shoved in their face before," and then threatened to "blow their heads off."
Police say the victims became fearful that Bragg was going to harm them and that they found someone to take them home.
On Oct. 25, police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the wooded area near Engh Field in Westmont and found three individuals smoking marijuana.
Police identified one of the individuals as Bragg, who authorities say became agitated and violent when questioned.
Police note that they made Bragg empty the contents of his backpack, where they found a "CO2-fired air-soft/BB gun" that matched the description of the gun that the juveniles at McDonald's described.
Police say officers placed Bragg under arrest, where he continued to resist, and eventually had to be physically subdued.
Bragg is currently being held at the Cambria County Prison, on $150,000 bail, court dockets show. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 1.
